Reviews ON..BATH PRODUCTS AND MAKEUP
The Last of my HUGE lush review!! Phew.

This is the last installment of my huge lush review for now. I hope it was entertaining or at least informative. I am not boasting nor did I receive any of these products from Lush, all opinions expressed are my own, I either purchased, traded for or received all this as gifts. This final part includes Rose Jam perfume,Snowcake soap, Snow fairy Shower gel, SnowShowers Shower jelly,Three gold rings bubble bar,Twilight perfume

  • Rose Jam perfume(Limited edition Forum release perfume still available on Lush.com on the US site)

This is one of my absolute FAVORITE Lush scents EVER created and the
absolutely hysterical thing is I abhor floral scents. While this is
definitely a floral it is more Sweet candied Roses than Straight up roses
It is also brightened by a touch of geranium and lemon oils. It smells
divine. I find myself reaching for this more than not these days.
I originally got it in a swap and as soon as they released it on the
Lush North America Site I got a back up.

  • Snowcake soap(Limited edition Christmas 2011):

I AM OBSESSED with snowcake. I love the smell, the way it feels, looks
and the way it makes my skin feel. I wish it was a permanent soap.
Super creamy, Super moisturizing and it smells like Marzipan. Delicious
almondy goodness.

  • Snow Fairy(Limited edition Christmas 2011):

First off it’s HOT Pink with GLITTER! Secondly it smells like delicious
bubble gum, sticky sweet cotton candy kissed with a touch of fruit.
A huge favorite amongst Lush fans everywhere. People stock up on this
by the caseload. Good stuff for sure.

  • SnowShowers Shower Jelly(Limited edition Christmas retro in the UK 2011)

Cognac, Oranges, deliciousness that just makes me super happy to use it.
As I’ve said before I LOVE the Lush shower Jellies and this is no exception. (It’s also my husband’s favorite lush scent along with the Dragon’s egg scent)

  • Three Gold Rings(Limited edition Christmas 2011):

First of all it smells just like Glorious mud and Creme Anglaise body lotion
A sweet almost spicy vanilla. What really made this bubble bar for me is
I can use a teensy piece of this and get a MOUNTAIN of bubbles that are
super moisturizing and amazingly long lasting. A favorite for sure.

  • Twilight perfume(Limited edition Forum party release Still available on LUSH.com on the US site)

I LOVEEEEEE the Twilight bath bomb. It is a sweet Malt scent with a kiss of Herbal lavendar, but I didn’t
care for the Twilight shower gel as it was heavy duty Lavender and light on the sweet malt
I love. Before I decided to order this I asked other friends if they thought it
smelled like the bomb or the shower gel and people said the bomb.
I was THRILLED so I ordered it. I get it and I don’t know if it’s
a body chemistry thing or just my nose but all I got was sharp herbal
lavender which is great if you like it but it’s a touch too medicinal
for me. Others rave about this scent. Mine is going away in a swap if my life can slow down
for a min for me to send it to her. Yvonne honey if you are reading this I didn’t forget you
I am sending this asap along with your samples and something extra for your wait. <3

Huge LUSH REVIEW PART 5

  • Green Bubbleroon:

Supposed to smell like fresh cut grass(Grass Shower gel) and lime.
All I smell is a clean, vaguely green smell and DELECTABLE Lime.
Surprisingly I adore this bubble bar, even though much like
Rose Jam it is more of a milk bath with some foam then a bubble
bath. It just smells so good.

  • Iced wine Shower Jelly(Limited edition Christmas 2010 released

as Christmas retro 2011):

My all time favorite Lush JellyI am just in LOVE with the jellies
all around but this scent is just to die for. Vaguely boozy, Fruity
and a touch spicy this scent just lingers for ages and ages. It just
smells amazing, I use it as shampoo, body wash and hand soap. I need
this more than on a limited basis.

  • Jilted elf Shower jelly:(Limited edition Christmas 2011) I didn’t like

this on first sniff. It smells like Apples and vodka with maybe a touch
of cognac. It was way too strong on the boozy notes, but since I ADORE
Lush’s jellies I figured I’d take a small pot home and give it a go.
Well Thank goodness I did. When you use it the smell morphs into
something clean and gorgeous with a spicy fruit edge to it. I am so glad
I didn’t miss out on this one.

  • Ro’s Argan oil Body Conditioner:

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL OF MY LIFE???? This is one of my greatest
Lush loves ever. Between the delectable Rose Jam fragrance I’ve fallen
head over heels for and the deliciously soft, supple and moisturized
way it makes my skin look and feel. If you haven’t tried this yet
you are missing out.

  • Superstars Bubble bar(Limited Edition Christmas 2011:

Creamy strawberry with a touch of citrus and clove. Meant to smell like
Yummy Yummy Yummy shower gel(sadly discontinued before this Lushie could try it) Though I have smelled it and it is similar. I liked this,
but I didn’t love it. I don’t even really know why, it just was ok for me.

  • Lust soap:

Not many fragrances lend itself so beautifully to different mediums ie creams
powders, shampoos, Soap and perfume. This scent is another of my favorites
from Lush so I was over the moon to get a soap to match.

Huge Lush Review part 4

The Products in this part are the Gingerbread house tin, Lustre Dusting powder,Snow Fairy lip tint, Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon, Chili Tingle lip tint and Christmas eve bubble bar.

  • Lush gingerbread house tin(Limited edition Christmas 2011) $27.99

Contained Gingerbread house bubble bar,Candy mountain bubble bar,
cinders bath bomb and so white. Great value and great for a gift. Also the tin is reusable and has a slot for a bank.

  • Lustre Dusting Powder

Smells just like Lust and shimmers just like a star.
What’s not to like? I love that the shimmer is more subdued,
more grown up and wearable if you will.

  • Snow Fairy Lip tint(Limited edition Christmas 2011)

Super moisturizing, creamy bright but sheer coverage pink lip tint that tastes like what Snow fairy Shower gel smells like.
I wasn’t a fan of the lip tints when I got Double choc(super drying and hard to spread), Or It started with a kiss(tasted odd). When I received
the Snow fairy lip tint from a friend I was over the moon
surprised. It’s really good.

  • Yuzu and Cocoa bubbleroon. I desperately wanted to like this one.

Sadly I don’t. It smells like Tang drink mix to me and I just don’t
want to bathe in it.

  • Chili Tingle lip tint:(Limited edition Christmas 2011)

This is just gorgeous, a beautiful creamy orangey red.It has a lovely fragrance
of chocolate and chilis.I can taste both. The chili is added to give a
plumping affect to the lips and while it’s
subtle I definitely feel it. I loooooove this!!!! The color is buildable from sheer to semi opaque.

  • Christmas Eve bubble bar(Limited Edition Christmas 2011)

On first sniff of this I hated it.I am not a floral person
at all. I was set to swap or exchange the ones I had when
my husband used one and I was inexplicably drawn to the scent.
Now I wish I had gotten more, I love them. They are relaxing, soothing and the color is beautiful.

Huge Lush review Part 3

The products I have in this part are

Golden wonder bath bomb(limited edition Christmas 2011),Pow Wow Lip scrub(Limited edition Christmas 2011), Lust perfume,Rose Jam Bubbleroon, Celebrate Lip tint(Limited edition Christmas 2011)

  • Golden Wonders Bath Bomb(Limited edition Christmas 2011)

This is such an awesome bath bomb. It’s covered in gorgeous gold luster which makes the bath shimmer. Inside the bomb are two mini bath bombs that when you shake the bomb it sounds as though there is  a bell inside of it. It smells of Snow showers which is Orange and cognac scented(DELICIOUS) the best thing about this is that when you put it into the water it turns your tub a gorgeous blue green color with shimmer from the luster. I hope this bomb comes back every year.

  • Pow Wow Lip scrub(limited edition Christmas 2011)

Super yummy lime flavored goodness with argan oil, sweet almond oil and all kinds of amazing things for your kisser. However delicious it was it misses the mark as a lip scrub for me. It is full of pop rocks and while that makes it fun to eat it’s not conducive to scrubbing your lips. Id love this flavor sans the popping candy or at least with loads less. A+ for delicious Lime lollipop flavor and lip loving oils. C- minus for functionality.

  • Lust perfume

This scent is pure heady, sensual, sexy Jasmine. I use this perfume when I want to feel particularly sexy. I love that this scent while strong, it doesn’t cause allergic reactions in my perfume sensitive friends. I spray this on and I am instantly transformed from normal Michelle to a GODDESS of  LUST. My husband loves this scent. Whenever I wear it he cannot stop burying his nose in my neck. I’d say after 18yrs with him that is worth every penny spent.

  • Rose Jam Bubbleroon

HOLY DELICIOUSNESS BATMAN!!!! I am not a floral fan but I simply adore this, it smells like candied rose petals with a touch lemon and geranium, A gorgeous Scent. One of my favorite Lush scents ever!!! I begged my friend to swap her Rose jam perfume from the UK forum party with me. Thank Goodness she didn’t like it and was more than willing. I loved this so much that when the North America Forum Party came around I bought a back up. As for the bubbleroons themselves they are super moisturizing like a bath melt but not much bubbles. I will continue to buy these because of how they smell and make the water and my skin feel,DELICIOUS and decadent.

  • Celebrate lip tint(Limited edition Christmas 2011)

Amazing pale champagne pink lip tint with pop rocks on top(not an overabundance like Pow Wow but just enough) Smells divine too with the Snow showers orange cognac scent. I want this back EVERY year

Huge Lush cosmetics review….PART 2

Part 2 of my huge Lush review. This portion contains Magic Wand REUSABLE Bubble bar(limited edition Christmas 2011), Miranda Soap,Noubar soap,Phoenix Rising bath bomb,Mrs Whippy bath bomb and Rockstar soap.

  • Magic wand Reusable Bubble bar(Limited edition Christmas 2011)

This product was AMAZING. I know I say that a lot about Lush but I do mean it whenever I say it. For anyone not familiar with Lush their solid bubble bars are generally made to crumble under running water to get bubbles. This one is harder than that, it’s texture not crumbly at all, was made to swoosh into the bath water to make bubbles in more than one bath. Mine lasted three baths. It probably would’ve lasted longer if I had followed the directions and swirled it into the bath water rather than holding it under the running water till I had gotten the desired amount of bubbles. AND IT SMELLS LIKE SNOW FAIRY!!!! Pink Bubble gum, sweet sugary, cotton candy goodness. A total win for me.

  • Miranda soap

I love Miranda soap. It is creamy and super moisturizing. It smells of kiwi and other fruit. What I like about this soap the most is the smell really lingers on the skin. One of my absolute favorite soaps, a daily go to for me. Available all year long it was originally a discontinued product that by popular demand was made retro on the website and then FINALLY brought back to US shops everywhere.

  • Noubar soap

The most underrated Lush soap in my opinion. It is super creamy and moisturizing. The scent is clean, nutty, vaguely smoky and vaguely sweet. JUST AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG why oh why is this on the discontinue list?

  • Phoenix Rising Bath bomb

This bath bomb was one of the products that Lush released earlier this year first in the UK and then finally to US in November. It smells like Cinnamon leaf oil with a little touch of sweet red apple. It is purple with a gorgeous gold luster on the outside and it makes the bath a deep deep purple. It’s so pretty, relaxing, moisturizing and definitely one I keep a few of here at home. (Image came from a website I googled not my own images)

\

Mrs Whippy has been warring for position as my favorite bath bomb of all time with Dragon’s egg, Twilight(yes my first Twilight was a color dud)  The scent of this is super creamy, relaxing, sweet, soft and just so nice. I use Mrs Whippy whenever I am having trouble sleeping and  it helps send me off nicely everytime.

  • Rockstar soap. It’s Bubble gum soap! That’s what my husband and son call it.  It’s scent lingers what feels like FOREVER as does the moisturizing benefits. It smells delicious, it feels decadent and is girliness personified. I ALWAYS have Rockstar on hand.
HUGE Lush cosmetics review…..part 1

I love LUSH. It makes me feel happy and beautiful in addition to clean, soft and fresh. I have tried a ton of things since November but didn’t have time to blog about them so here is my reviews and thoughts in several parts because it is quite a long list. I have either purchased, swapped for, or received these items as gifts. None were provided by LUSH COSMETICS. All opinions and thoughts are solely my own. Well here’s the list of whats going to be reviewed 5 or 6 per  blog and in no chronological order.

1)Northern lights soap(limited edition Christmas 2011)

2)Tin of Pure imagination(Limited edition Christmas 2011) Contents include: Abombinaball Bath Bomb, Australian Igloo Sugar Scrub, Pow Wow Lip Scrub, The Jilted Elf Shower Jelly, Rocketeer Bath Bomb, The Melting Snowman Bath Melt, Superstars Bubble Bar, Ultrablast Toothy Tabs.

3)American Cream Perfume(Limited edition STILL AVAILABLE LUSH NA only online)

4)Billy Bonkers Bath time favorites tin(Limited Edition Christmas 2011): Contents:Candy Mountain Bubble Bar,Candy Cane soap,Mrs. Whippy Bath Bomb,Magic Wand Bubble Bar,Melting Marshmallow Moment bath melt, Lil’ Lush Pud Bath Bomb,Ma Bar Bubble Bar,Gingerbread House Bubble Bar

  • Northern lights soap:

GORGEOUS COLORS… Neon Bright supposed to be reminiscent of the natural phenomenon the northern lights. This soap was one that snuck up on me. I walked into Lush the day they released 2011’s Christmas goodies and ran around picking things up, sniffing, and literally pouring them into my little wicker basket. I picked up a hunk of this stunningly beautiful soap, smelled it and said “Eh… it’s nice.” but I put it down and continued stocking up on the things I knew I loved. I kept coming back to this soap. It smells amazing. Lime, Pine and Cypress combine to just smell FRESH!!!! I ended up buying a pound of this that day and by the end of the season at boxing day I had purchased a total of nearly 3lbs of this soap. It is if not my most favorite Lush holiday soap scent thus far it is definitely in my top three. So good. I hope it comes back next year.

  • The tin of Pure Imagination

Containing Several yummy Christmas 2011 Goodies it was a good bang for your buck, also the tin was adorable, sturdy and reusable. It had Abombinaball Bath Bomb(Not my favorite of this years releases but so pretty in the bath), Australian Igloo Sugar Scrub( Really fresh smelling, scrubby goodness), Pow Wow Lip Scrub(By far the YUMMIEST lip scrub yet I ended up eating half of the first jar I purchased), The Jilted Elf Shower Jelly(SO YUMMY), Rocketeer Bath Bomb(smells of smarties candies or candy necklaces) Very invocotive of my childhood, The Melting Snowman Bath Melt)(SUPER MOISTURIZING AND IT SMELLS LIKE SNOWCAKE!!! Need I say more), Superstars Bubble Bar( Another bubble bar with the delicious scent of Yummy Yummy Yummy Shower gel, think strawberries and cream with a touch of citrus and clove, Ultrablast Toothy Tabs (Super minty whitening tabs without the mess, waste and sweeteners in other traditional toothpastes). This tin cost less than 60 dollars and was worth EVERY single red cent.

  • American Cream Perfume

Good LORD what can I say about this Delicious, intoxicating scent? I fell for American Cream Conditioner merely for the scent and also Shimmy Shimmy massage bar because it shared the same Sweet Vanilla and earthy clary sage goodness. When I heard they were releasing a perfume for the forum party special I was heartbroken because at the time of the UK party I didn’t have money to order. So I bucked up and prayed that once the North America round of Forum party came around they would have it on offer. The problem was they had so many other amazing scents that I kind of forgot this one and got a back up of Rose Jam(I swapped for my first bottle of this after trying the Bubbleroon and FALLING head over heels for it) which is sooooo fricken beyond GOOD and a Twilight because people insisted it smelled like the bath bomb which I love and not the Shower gel which I could take or leave. Well to make a long story short I didn’t like the Twilight on. All I could smell was a strong herbal lavendar more likened to the Shower gel rather than the sweeter more malty goodness of the bath bomb. Maybe it’s my nose or my chemistry but I was beyond thrilled to find someone to swap Twilight with for this beauty!!!! WIN!!!! It’s Still available on Lush.com on the NA or US site for $49.95. A bargain for an amazing scent that lingers all day.

  • Angel’s Delight soap

This soap is not only GORGEOUS to look at but the scent is sweet like tangerine fruit punch. It is no wonder that it is a favorite amongst Lushies (this one included) and I am glad it has become a Lush Christmas Staple. I hope they never stop releasing this soap. I also purchased almost 3lbs of this soap this past holiday season.

  • Billy Bonkers Bath time favorites

Another BEAUTIFUL tin! Reminded me immediately of the game Candyland and it was pink. I simply couldn’t resist so imagine how thrilled I was that it was chockablock full of full sized bath treats some regular line and some limited edition. At Just under 60$USD this was another bargain… It contained Candy Mountain Bubble Bar,Candy Cane soap,Mrs. Whippy Bath Bomb,Magic Wand Bubble Bar,Melting Marshmallow Moment bath melt, Lil’ Lush Pud Bath Bomb,Ma Bar Bubble Bar,Gingerbread House Bubble Bar. I love EACH AND EVERYTHING in this tin. Wish I had gotten like 5 of these.

Hey everyone ANOTHER LUSH haul and review from me today… below is what I either purchased or received as a sample or gift. I do not work for Lush, nor do I receive discounts or free items for my opinions. They are merely my own thoughts and feelings on the products listed below.

Now let me start off by saying I was a DEVOUT Karma hater. I couldn’t stand the smell of it, sight of it or anything and because of this I was reluctant to even TRY any of the products… Well Now I have to say HUMBLE PIE is DELICIOUS and it smells like Spicy oranges!!!!  On Saturday June 11,2011 I was converted to a full on Karma lover by the lovely Sarah, a sales associate at my favorite Union Square Manhattan Lush location(THANKS SARAH LIKE I DON’T GIVE LUSH ENOUGH OF MY MONEY!!! HAHAHA!!!!).

We always talk about how much I detest Karma, ANY Karma product was on my STEER CLEAR list because to me Patchouli smells like dirt.On this occasion Sarah said to me “If any Karma product will change your mind it will be Karma Kream.” so I immediately went over to the open container they keep for sampling and smelling and slathered some on my perfume free arm. I didn’t smell it right away and continued to shop because I feel sometimes perfumes and perfumed lotions need time to develop and go through their notes before they finally smell like what they are going to smell like on your skin personally. As I loaded my lovely little basket with goodies I know I love and NEED, a scent of spicy candied orange peel began to waft to my nose every time my right arm came anywhere near my face. The detested Karma had morphed into something downright amazing and gorgeous on my skin!!!! Excited I ran to the Perfume exhibit they have sprayed some Karma perfume on and continued to shop smiling as the delicious formerly and unjustly hated scent enveloped me. I was a goner… KARMA fan for life. I was afraid my husband wouldn’t like it so I asked for a sample of the Kream(I love this spelling) to try on when he was close to smell it.I was falling deeper and deeper in love with Karma as I walked around.

Then I received a hand treatment with Glorious mud  from the lovely Sarah which I loved and promptly dropped into my basket. I also purchased a sugar babe which I love,a joy of jelly sadly not a favorite scent but beautiful to look at it and will probably swap it. Sarah then gave me a sample of creme anglaise because she said it smells like glorious mud(I LOVED THE SCENT and so did hubby) and she sampled me a large sliver of karma soap and several moisturizers listed below because my skin is a fickle thing and I haven’t been able to choose one. Also she sampled me some Dark angels facial cleanser because I love my coalface but I figured I would try DA as well for a little more moisturization in dry spots. DAMN YOU CURSED Combination skin. I am trying enzymion this week it smells soooooo good and feels good on in combination with my breath of fresh air toner and coalface. I then left my beloved Lush store to go have lunch with my friend JoAnn my beautiful Lush shopping buddy. As I sat there munching my gordita I kept sniffing myself and the Karma had blossomed and opened up so beautifully I decided I HAD to go back to Lush where I grabbed a solid Karma fragrance and two more of my favorite Dragon’s egg bath bombs.(I can’t buy these fast enough, I swear my husband eats them he loves them so much as well).

Sunday night, excited to have my first Karma shower to see if Hubs enjoyed this delicious new discovered love of mine as much as I did I posted on facebook about wishing I had purchased a Karma Komba Shampoo bar, I receive a call from a Lushie neighbor of mine she asks me to wait five mins before my shower so I grab a smoke and head outside to wait for her. She shows up with an unused Karma komba solid shampoo bar from her very own stash she had tied a ribbon around. “Welcome to the dark side” She said. And it is good… it smells like spicy oranges. I am soooo hooked….

lushiesunite:

Good morning Lushies! It’s 9:32am where I am, and I usually don’t get up until about 10:15 (I got up around 8:45 today!) but I’m in a rather good mood already! It’s supposed to be really nice out today here — I think 73 degrees! So I have a pretty new summer dress on with a cardigan and I am…

This review is on a little company called Glamour doll eyes… the owner and creator of the products is this lovely woman by the name of Vanessa(Vee) Barney. She makes the most beautiful loose shadows I have ever used. No one surpasses her colors, the sparkle, shimmers, pigmentation and the consistency of her beautiful product. Below is my review on the products I have purchased or sampled with my own money.

1.DinoSpotz: DinoSpotz* is an interesting color. It is a brown/red color with a hint of green glitter. The green really comes out when you use this shadow wet! This color is beautiful. This color was named and inspired by dinostarzz.

My take: DINOSPOTZ is easily my favorite color Vee makes because of it’s amazing duochrome nature. It is brown in the pot and when you put it on its a deep ruddy red brown with a gray green teal duo chrome when you turn your face the right way or in pictures. It’s amazing…

2.Frankenglamour: FrankenGlamour is an almost lime green with gold undertone. This color offers more of a sheen than shimmer. This color was part of the 2010 Halloween Set 1.

My take: a gorgeous limeish, slightly minty green with a gold sheen under it. It looks beautiful on and has great pigmentation.

3.Phyrra: Phyrra (pronounced fear-ah) is hot pink with aqua sparkles. The picture doesn’t even do this color justice, its truly gorgeous! This color is inspired, named and created by a good customer named Phyrra. This color is NOT vegan.

My take: This one I was slightly disappointed with because it is more of a purple than the glorious hot pink the photo shows but it goes on beautifully and the shimmers are gorgeous.

4.Pistol Pistol: Pistol Pistol is a blackened silver (almost gunmetal) with multi colored shimmer, but mainly red shimmer!

My take: GORGEOUS GUNMETAL!!! just amazing LOVE IT!!!

5.veteran: Veteran is a shimmery dark navy blue with lots of red sparkle. This color was named and inspired by danalajeunesse.

My take: This one is absolutely gorgeous… I love the color and the red sparkles are to die for.

6.Shimmer: Shimmer is inspired by Rainbow Brite, but more specifically, the horse Shimmer. Rainbow Brite was introduced onto greeting cards in 1983 and became a TV show the following year. Shimmer (the horse) was not released into the line until 2009, but the name fit the shadow perfectly. Shimmer was Moonglow’s horse. This color is a white base with yellow, purple, red, blue and green shimmer/sparkle.

My take: This one isn’t very pigmented but it shows up nicely when used wet. The shimmers are amazing though.

7.Ragdoll:Rag Doll is inspired by Raggedy Ann. Although this series of books was created in 1915, this was still a staple for me when I was growing up. I remember carrying my Raggedy Ann doll everywhere. This color is a pinkish red with blue and white sparkles. The blue and white sparkles represent her dress and apron.

My take: Another favorite, Beautiful pinky brownish red with gorgeous white and blue glitter. I love this one sooo much.

8.Jerrica: Jerrica is inspired by the show Jem. The first show started on October 6, 1985 and it stopped airing on May 2, 1988. Jem was about a music company owner named Jerrica that had an alter ego named Jem, who was in the band Holograms. This color is a vibrant yellow with pink and blue sparkle. The yellow and pink represents Jem’s hair and the blue represents her eyes. This shadow is NOT vegan.

My take: this one was not as bright as I wanted it to be but it is a very pretty yellow

8.Bruised:Bruised is a darkened purple with black undertones and gorgeous aqua sparkle. NOT VEGAN! This color was part of the 2010 Halloween Set 1.

My take: Love it!!!! It compliments Frankenglamour beautifully… and makes an amazing crease color.

10.Denver: When asked what Denver would look like as a shadow, I was told a black with red, blue and purple sparkles to represent the Denver nightlife. This is a pearly black with red, blue and purple sparkles throughout.

My take:  Another favorite of mine. This is truly a fantasic color, it is so versatile and so amazing. I have used it as a crease color with ragdoll on the lid for a red smoky eye, and I have used this as a lid color for a night at the club. It’s just gorgeous.
